ANSTO, in partnership with the Renal Disease Prevention Unit in the Sri Lankan Department of Health and Indigenous Medical Services, are pleased to announce the Clean Water Hackathon 2.0 will take place at Colombo Innovation Tower from 13-15 February, 2020.
This Hackathon builds upon the inaugural Clean Water Hackathon, which was held in Sydney in July, 2018. For the Clean Water Hackathon 2.0, we are looking for enthusiastic undergraduate and postgraduate students from engineering and associated disciplines.
What is a Hackathon? It’s an innovative design competition. Across three days, students will work in small teams to develop solutions to treat waste runoff from reverse osmosis water treatment plants.
The Hackathon arises from ANSTO’s continued commitment to investigate Chronic Kidney Disease of Unknown Cause (CKDu), a serious public health issue in the north-east of Sri Lanka.
Over the three days of the Clean Water Hackathon, participants will:
LOCATION: Colombo Innovation Tower, No. 477 R. A. De Mel Mawatha, Colombo 00400.
